Document/Image Purge Limit (Retention Policy)

 

To reduce cyber-security risks, vSure have implemented automated purging of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) documents and images from our platform. 

 

Clients can choose the number of months that documents/images (such as Passport images, Birth Certificates etc) are retained in the platform from 1-84 (that is: 1 month to 7 years), with a further option of no purging whilst your account remains active with vSure.

 

Whilst images/documents themselves are purged, a full audit trail of that document's collection and sighting is retained indefinitely. You will have sufficient evidence of compliance via the audit trail, rather than needing to retain the actual image/document.

 

 

Within the My Account Settings screen (accessible to the administrator level users via the My Account button in the top right of vSure) is a new option for "Document Purge Limit". The default setting is 3 months.
