2FA
Two Factor Authentication (2FA) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) are the industry benchmarks in security of modern web-applications. 2FA is simply adding another "factor" beyond username and password to validate your access.
The vSure implementation of 2FA requires access to your mobile phone or email account as a "second factor". When you login from a specific IP address (computer or phone on a specific network), you will be challenged for a code that will be sent either to your email address or mobile. This second factor (access to your email or mobile phone) adds an additional layer of security and stops the most common form of hacking.
2FA is now compulsory on ALL vSure accounts.
The second factor requirement is triggered by:
- Logging in from a different computer/network;
- Every 30 days;
Meaning if the user uses the same computer and network every day to access vSure, they'll only be asked for the second factor once every 30 days.
We recommend you add mobile numbers to your users profiles:
1. Users
Select the Users / Actives Tab
2. Click on the individual users name to open their profile
3. Click into the Phone field to add their Mobile Phone number
4. Save
