1. Ability to switch off staff photo/selfie in on-boarding workflows
In both the Employer Onboarding Wizard and the Send Self-Onboarding Emails workflows we have included a request for a photo or selfie of the candidate/staff member. This was designed to comply with the obligation to ensure the ID supplied is in fact the worker who is accepting the role.
A number of clients have requested the ability to skip this step. We have now added two options to the My Accounts screen:
- Use Employee Photo In Employer Onboarding Wizard
- Use Employee Photo In Email Onboarding Wizard
These are defaulted to Yes for all vSure customers but can be switched to No.
My Account | My Account Tab | Edit
Change the setting from Yes --> No and Save
2. Additional fields added to the Employer Onboarding Wizard
Four additional fields have been added to the Employer Onboarding Wizard to streamline the employee/contractor set-up:
- Start Date;
- Employee ID;
- Group; and
- Location
These are all OPTIONAL fields (note the asterisk (*) denotes compulsory fields) and can be left blank where not required (though we stress start date is particularly relevant to Work Holiday visas).
These fields were already available for adding employees by email, when you use the Add Employee/Contractor option rather than the bulk "Send Self Onboarding Emails". See this help article to see how.
3. New API for integrating vSure into your other HR systems
The team have developed a new API end-point that can:
- Add a new employee/contractor to vSure; and
- Trigger the automated sending of a vSure Work Rights check (Self Onboarding Email).
The idea is, if you have another system with integration capabilities, you can automatically add the employees and send the onboarding email without human interaction!
We are going to make this available to interested parties. Please email us (or log a support ticket above) if you are interested in integrating vSure with your other systems.
4. New non-API integration
We are also adding an email to vSure version of the API detailed above. This means you will be able to add a new employee/contractor to vSure simply by sending an email to a unique vSure email address with the employees details (at minimum their email address).
We envision this being a simple way to inetgrate with your HRIS/Onboarding solution. In some cases this means simply setting up an email trigger in your onboarding workflow that sends the email automatically to vSure!
Again, we are going to make this available to interested parties. Please email us (or log a support ticket above) if you are interested in integrating vSure with your other systems using this non-API email method.
5. vSure now hosted via Amazon Web Services
This has been advised over the past few months, but is now complete. vSure has moved our entire application and file storage for the vSure software and API to the Australian AWS facilities. This replaced our previous production and mirror environments with Mammoth Hosting and ServerMule respectively.
We are already noticing performance improvements in the new environment. Our security has improved with more native encryption and we get access to a raft of additional services offered by Amazon that will help us improve vSure even more.
