Over the weekend a new batch of features went live with vSure, here's a summary: |
New passport scanning engineIn recent times we have been experimenting with a new Optical Character Recognition (OCR) engine for vSure to further streamline onboarding. We used data stripping from photos or PDFs of Birth Certificates and Student Confirmation of Enrollment documents as our test cases in the last couple of months and have been pleased with the results. Over the weekend we swapped our core Passport scanning engine over to it as well.
This is a significant change and in week one we are at least expecting comparable results with our original OCR tool. The Machine Learning nature of the new service should mean we see gradual improvements in accuracy and speed over time.
If you feel there is any degradation in the accuracy or speed of the passport scanning in your vSure, please let us know so we can investigate by lodging a support ticket here. |
Show VEVO results in Onboarding ReviewRecently we introduced automated VEVO checks for new completed self-onboards. These display as normal in the Employee/Contractor tab. With the release over the weekend you will now start to see the results in the Review process starting with with colour coding now appearing in the Pending Review list on the Review Self-Onboarding Status screen: |
Colours have the following meaning:
A future release will also present the detailed result in the Pending Review approval screen. |
Countries no longer have commasCommas always present issues with CSV files and MS Excel or Google Sheets. Home Affairs has always used commas in its nationality list including but not limited to:
Clients using downloads and uploads with vSure have experienced frustrations with column alignments being thrown out by these commas. We have now changed the comma to a dash, so these countries now present like:
